Happy Thursday and welcome to a Labour of Fashion July edition. OK tis true July has been around for a while but hey it is cause for celebration. It has been a sunny and warm month here in Ontario. True confession flashing back to Canada Day in my home.
OOTD Canada’s Birthday
Today I kind of dressed for the Canada Day celebrations and by today I mean June 3oth lol. The Converse are a must because I have discovered if my feet are not comfortable then I am not going to enjoy myself. Being Home has really elevated that dress up but be comfortable feel. But no excuse not to still dress.
The dress I found at Old Navy a few years ago and I considered it my patriotic dress normally reserved for Memorial Day and Independence Day and a few other days too . It’s the perfect combination of red, white and blue. Paired with a fav white cardi. Normally I go with a blue blazer to truly celebrate the red, white and Blue. .
To Niche or Not
Here is my question which is more engaging an outfit post, a travel/food/craft post or a post that includes both? I use to love creating dual posts but worried they were not popular, then I started wondering why actually do you come here? I mean the outfits are fun and I will never stop that because I do actually get dressed everyday but I have really been stepping up my life posts lately and I am loving it.
Darn niche issues are once again causing me slight angst but I have decided I am my Niche.
My compromise for the next little while will be outfit posts in the day and life posts in the evening and weekends so I may be going post crazy over the next while. How crazy is that a blogger who may be doubling her posts in the summer?

Before I even read this post, I knew this was a patriotic outfit with patriotic pieces. Love that dress so much and those adorable red chucks. And I love your lifestyle posts not just your style posts.

Post what you want to write about: I sometimes have a hard time making my round of reading all the blogs that I enjoy and forget a few but I always some back. I think part of the writing is for ourselves, a great creative outlet and for me it gives purpose to my days too (not that being a mom of 4 does not give me purpose lol). Love your red converse: you have some great colors: I have white and one burgundy pair too.

Such a great patriotic outfit, Linda! I love the dress and your red Converse are so cute! I struggled for a long while with the niche stuff as well, but then I figured if I just call my space a “fashion and lifestyle blog” I can do whatever the heck I want! Just be you and do you in your space. Whatever you feel inspired to write about and share here, we will read it! I enjoy fashion the most when I visit blogs, but I also find some great stuff that is beneficial to me in all kinds of other posts.
