During my recent visit to Montréal for a convention, I stayed at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Just a short walk from VIA Rail’s Central Station, the hotel combines an unbeatable downtown location with modern accommodations, exceptional meeting facilities, and thoughtful amenities that make every stay comfortable.

Whether you’re travelling for business, attending a conference, or planning a weekend exploring Montréal, Le Centre Sheraton offers the perfect place to call home.

Location, Location, Location

One of the first things I noticed was how incredibly convenient the location is.

After arriving at Montréal Central Station, I was able to walk directly to the Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel within minutes. No taxis, no navigating unfamiliar streets with luggage—just an easy stroll into the heart of downtown.

From the hotel you can easily reach:

  • Bell Centre
  • Sainte-Catherine Street shopping
  • Place Ville Marie
  • McGill University
  • Montréal’s Underground City (RESO)
  • Countless restaurants and cafés
  • Old Montréal (approximately a 20-minute walk)
  • Metro stations connecting you throughout the city

For travellers arriving by train or anyone who enjoys exploring on foot, the location is one of the Sheraton’s greatest strengths.

A Modern Lobby That Sets the Tone

Walking into the lobby, I immediately appreciated its fresh, contemporary design.

The renovated space feels bright, open, and welcoming, with comfortable seating areas that encourage you to pause for a coffee, meet friends, or catch up on work before heading out to explore.

Whether you’re checking in after a long journey or gathering with colleagues before a meeting, the atmosphere feels polished without ever feeling formal.

A Room Designed for Comfort

Sometimes a hotel room is simply a place to sleep.

Other times, it becomes part of the travel experience.

My room at Le Centre Sheraton definitely fell into the second category.

The neutral colour palette, soft textures, and oversized windows created a peaceful space where I could unwind after busy convention days.

The Sheraton Signature Bed was exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to recharge for another full day.

One of my favourite features was the cozy seating area beside the window.

It became my quiet corner for planning the day ahead, catching up on reading, and simply watching downtown Montréal come alive.

The large picture window also provided beautiful city views, making mornings especially relaxing.

Thoughtfully Designed Guest Rooms

The guest rooms offer everything today’s travellers need without feeling cluttered.

Highlights included:

  • Plush Sheraton Signature bedding
  • Spacious king bed
  • Comfortable lounge chair
  • Large work desk
  • Fast Wi-Fi
  • Plenty of charging outlets
  • Floor-to-ceiling windows
  • Excellent sound insulation despite the downtown location

The room felt spacious, bright, and functional while still maintaining a warm, relaxing atmosphere.

A Bathroom That Feels Like a Spa

The bathroom continues the hotel’s modern, minimalist design with clean lines, neutral stone finishes, and a spacious glass walk-in shower.

After spending the day exploring Montréal or attending meetings, it was the perfect place to unwind.

The oversized shower offered plenty of room, excellent water pressure, and contemporary fixtures that added a luxurious feel without being over the top.

One detail I always appreciate is when hotels invest in quality toiletries rather than tiny disposable bottles.

amenities in the bathroom le sheraton centre montreal

Le Centre Sheraton features Gilchrist & Soames Warm Oak bath amenities, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and bar soap. The subtle woodsy scent felt fresh and sophisticated, while the full-sized refillable dispensers are both convenient and environmentally friendly.

It’s a small touch, but one that makes the guest experience feel just a little more elevated.

Amenities You’ll Appreciate

Le Centre Sheraton offers a wide range of amenities that enhance both short and extended stays.

Guests have access to:

  • Stanley Restaurant & Bar
  • Starbucks in the lobby
  • Sheraton Club Lounge

Everything is designed to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. I Loved

  • Exceptional downtown location within walking distance of Central Station.
  • Comfortable Sheraton Signature Bed that made it easy to recharge.
  • Beautiful oversized windows with plenty of natural light.
  • Comfortable seating area perfect for reading or planning the day.
  • Round sit stand desk– not going to lie, this was the highlight and I forgot to take a picture.
  • Modern walk-in shower with excellent water pressure.
  • Gilchrist & Soames Warm Oak amenities that added a premium touch.
  • Excellent meeting facilities all under one roof.
  • Easy walk to restaurants, shopping, Bell Centre, and Montréal’s Underground City.
  • Friendly, professional service throughout my stay.

An Excellent Choice for Conferences and Meetings

During my visit, I was attending a convention, making it easy to appreciate why this hotel is such a popular destination for meetings and large events.

Le Centre Sheraton offers more than 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, including ballrooms, breakout rooms and conference facilities capable of hosting everything from corporate meetings to large conventions and gala events. Dedicated event planners and modern audiovisual capabilities make it well-equipped for gatherings of every size.

Having guest rooms, meeting spaces and dining all under one roof makes for a seamless experience, especially when your schedule is packed.

Is Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Worth It?

Absolutely.

For me, the biggest selling points were the unbeatable downtown location, the easy walk from Central Station, and the comfortable, renovated accommodations. Add in excellent meeting facilities and easy access to Montréal’s restaurants, shopping and attractions, and it’s easy to see why this hotel remains a favourite for both business and leisure travellers.

If you’re arriving by train, attending a convention, catching a concert at the Bell Centre, or simply looking for a comfortable base for exploring Montréal, Le Centre Sheraton delivMy Rating
