Every holiday I create a seasonal table setting with a fun napkin fold. 2017 I created a fun four leaf clover but for 2018 I wanted to try something new. It’s tough finding something appropriate without getting too elaborate. I loved this Lily Napkin Fold, it seemed the perfect nesting place for the shamrocks.

Lily Napkin Fold
Isn’t this the cutest fold and oh so very easy to make. It is easy to master. Pretty soon you will be finding yourself randomly folding napkins every where you go. OK maybe not. Sadly or happily depending on how you look at it, I find myself refolding napkins into designs every where I go.
One day I was at a business conference and during the lunch session I refolded every napkin in a new design. I did not even realize I was doing it. The wait staff actually took them away to show the others. Napkin folding the lost art.
Lily Napkin Folds
- Fold the napkin in a triangle
- grab each corner and fold them over creating a diamond pattern
- fold the solid end point over as illustrated
- and then fold the top down ( see illustration)
- flip napkin over
- fold each side towards the middle and tuck into each other
- stand upright
There you have it, the perfect base for your shamrocks or any other seasonal decor you wish.
