Summer wardrobe items I cannot live without, makes one stop and think doesn’t it? For me it should come as no surprise that Sundresses and Converse top the list. Do you have a must have list for Summer? Two summers ago I shared my five items that I built my wardrobe around. Today I thought it would be fun to see what additions I might have for my summer staples.
My Five Summer Staples revisited
Scrolling through the blog there is no question I have a look, that statement which tells you it’s me. It usually starts with the converse and sun dresses but one cannot stop there. I know I do tend to lean towards a same look. Summer staples are the cornerstone of my wardrobe planning. Over the summer of 2018 I could easily determine the five pieces I need in my summer wardrobe. For 2020 let’s see how we stand today
- Converse in every colour I can find, yep still a total staple
- Summer weight pant (must be striped)
- white skirt– I mean how can one live without a white skirt, actually I could amend this any neutral skirt with pockets but I do still adore my white one
- Black loose cami-I would amend this to include a white cami as well
- Linen sundress– this is a staple but I think in 2019 I would add Straw Fedora instead
If you search through each years Summer posts trust me you will see a Theme. Do you have a Theme or a must have item you need?
Cotton Skirts and Summer Staples
The look today I wear a lot, skirts, camis and sandals ( replaced with converse during the day). Another summer staples look you will see a lot I am sure. This fun skirt was another vacation find. While strolling through the Mall in Williamsburg I found a cool new to me store “Cotton On” . Cool shop with everything cotton, I know how crazy that the title is exactly on point.
Anyhow I found this awesome tropical skirt on sale. We also found great shirts for Kent and Nic. The skirt is amazing, great wrap style, and wait for it….. POCKETS. Yep Day made when I found this baby. I paired it with a fun cami from J Crew and fun heels from Shoe Dazzle.
