Lets just take a moment to reflect and admire the way this little meow can relax…. one would think this seriously could not be comfortable at all but there ya have it, eyes closed oblivious to all..Lou is asleep on her perch surrounded by all her stuffed moose ( or is it mooses… )
Never thought on March 25th I would be reflecting back fondly on March 19th but I am, it is my flash back Friday to last Saturday when the snow was quickly disappearing. Flash forward to now and I just want to cry, snow, sleet hail, freezing rain, you name it we got it. How is the weather in your neck of the woods? Are you gazing fondly out the window, basking in the sun like Lou or are you crying in your teacup like me?
So Happy Easter Folks, its the long weekend and if you believe a time to reflect and remember what this weekend is really about and if you don’t happen to be a believer well enjoy the days and wait for the Easter Bunny…. OK well not that I talk about religion like ever never on the blog but this weekend I am a believer ( there I said it) but I also am a believer in the Easter Bunny because seriously who wouldn’t believe in someone that brings you chocolate.
This weekend especially I will be reflecting and thinking because I lost my grandmother and many of my memories of Nana are at the church, about the church and on Sunday when we gather to celebrate her life it will be at the Church that we belonged to for such a very very long time. Today my faith is strong because I need it to be, I need to believe and think that she is with Papa and my Dad and they are catching up on all the great things, the silly things and the bad things that we have all done over the years.
Today and this weekend I am writing the eulogy, trying to put into words years of thoughts and feelings. Trying to capture the essence of who she was to me, to my sisters, to my cousins, to her children to her neighbors and friends. How does one sum it all up without sounding trite. I am confident that I will succeed but in the meantime I worry that I will not do it justice.
Enough of the sad and depressing although appropriate for Good Friday I guess, let’s explore a casual weekend outfit that not only helps me stay fit but is healthy for the environment. An outfit from LNBF (Leave Nothing But Footprints) made of Bamboo.
