Holy Cow, did you realize in three weeks it will be Christmas? Even better did ya realize its time to now deck the halls and get your falalala on? Dec 6th and in only 19 days it will be Christmas Eve. Do you get as excited as I do? Enough about that let’s focus on the here and now. Today is #204 for A Labour of Fashion, that is still insane to me. Almost as insane as hitting over 10000 on Instagram but I did that and I am still climbing. I also hit over 1.8 million views a month on Pinterest. And know what I let out a little Elle Woods squeal when i say that. I am feeling good about the direct I am heading in folks really good.
Get Social when Blogging
I have said it before, not that long ago actually. Some days I wish I could just get back to daily blog posts. Remember the days where you wrote what you wanted. Posted for you and the sheer joy. No worries of ads or views or numbers, just because you loved it.
Social Media sucked some of the fun from the social. I still love insta and pinterest, all of them actually. I just wish I wasn’t always so focused on the blog and would enjoy the sheer social delight. No more pity party though cuz I still love what I do and I am feeling the love back.
What is the Blog About
I often get asked what my blog is about and what I share. Sometimes I hesitate because it’s an ever growing thing. I started with fashion or daily style and started adding in bits of life. Today this really is a Labour of Life where I share everything I love. The last few weeks I have been focusing on food more than fashion and over the next while I think the focus will be travel and Holidays. Know what? That is totally OK, a blog is yours and you get to share what you want and what you love. Today I am sharing a love of fashion as I head out on a shopping spree. Happy Thursday Folks
Today’s Look
As I wing my way to Saint John and a shopping trip I will leave you with a fun non-snow look. My LNBFootprints Tunic is made of bamboo and the perfect travel outfit. Today I also added the Suri Leggings from the same company. Tossing my suede jacket over top I am ready for Fall (but not Winter). Shoe Dazzle beat all records and got my new boots to me just in time.Toss on a leopard scarf and a fun necklace and I am ready for indoors and out.

With me going back to work last week. I’m lucky to blog 3 times a week. Also I can’t get over the fact Christmas is over here.

Although I do feel that AV is the future, and that vlogging will overtake blogging some time soon, I thoroughly appreciate the written word so much more. Visuals are fine and dandy but at the end of the day, what calls to me is when someone opens up, and shares his or her thoughts 🙂

I hear you on the evolution of blogging—when I started 15 (!!!) years ago, it was a completely different ball game. The only constant is change, though, right? 😉

I really love the combination of brown and black and I forget until I see it. I couldn’t agree more about the worries of blogging sucking the fun right out of it. LOL. But we just keep going. I love the relationships. Have a great day!!!

I still really enjoy reading most blogs and at times I wish I was just a reader and not a blogger myself because the pressure is real. It’s hard to just focus on making it fun and not get caught up in the numbers! Enjoy your shopping trip!

Linda, I love your outfit and your boots. I love all of my Shoe Dazzle and Just Fab boots! It is absolutely an addiction. I love the price point because let’s face it, where we live, our boots get ruined and I don’t want to spend a ton of money on cute boots to go traipsing through the snow! We are currently buried in some lake effect snow this morning!
