I am a car gal, not mechanically inclined at all but I love pretty cars. Having the opportunity to attend the Ottawa Auto Show and meet with Ford Canada to discuss cars, well who could say no. If you recall I attended last year and gave you a sneak peak at the Ford EcoSport. Last year we only got to see the outside of the car, this year it is rolling off the production line and coming to a dealer near you
The Ford EcoSport
The Ottawa-Gatineau International Auto Show is happening and Thursday Night Kent and I had the pleasure of attending a media preview event as guests of Ford Canada, checking out finally the inside of the EcoSport.
I love the look of the new EcoSport, all the benefits of an SUV in a more compact size. In 2017 at the Show we were limited to viewing the prototype . It was stunning , the Titanium edition. I was very impressed with the look and wanted to get inside so you can imagine that this year jumping in was top of my list. Checking out not just how it looked but how it felt. The comfort of the seats is a top priority for me and this one truly passed the test.
Ford is continuing its commitment to sustainability and using renewable materials in the production of their vehicles. “The small but mighty honeybee was the inspiration behind the design of the adjustable cargo floorboard in the all-new For EcoSport. The strong, but superlight cargo shelf weighs just six pounds, but can handle almost 700 pounds of heavy items. Constructed from all-natural paper and water-based glue, the eco-friendly honeycomb floorboard is just one example of how EcoSport was designed to help you Go Small and Live Big!”
Ford Media Event
Let’s take a minute to reflect on our evening and I don’t just mean the Car Show. Kent and I had a great evening with the Ford representatives at the Ottawa-Gatineau International Auto Show. The evening was filled with great food time, great friends and learning about the EcoSport. It is always an awesome opportunity to connect with my Ottawa blogger community.
I adore the fact that sustainability is a top priority to Ford and this year they gave us all the gift of life, so to speak.
The Cars at the Ottawa Auto Show
Thursday was opening night at the Car Show. Not only did I get to re-discover the new EcoSport we also got to explore the entire Trade show. Three floors of amazing cars to dream about. And hello world did I do some dreaming. It is always a treat to check out the ” real” cars but it’s even more fun to check out the extreme vehicles. This year I spent a lot of time with the “movie and TV” cars.
Time travel and the Delorean from Back to the Future
I have no idea where this little lady was from but I didn’t care, this car I want in my driveway.
The Batmobile and Batman….
and David Hasselhoff’s Kit.
And then a lot of time dreaming of winning the lottery. This little number is only $81,000. It sure would make a perfect traveling van for The Honest Heart Collective wouldn’t it?
and then there was this…….. and it was purple….. how beautiful is my new little friend? A purple lamborghini has to be on everyone’s wish list.
If you are in the National Capital Region I highly recommend checking out the Ottawa-Gatineau Car Show. Take the kids and make if a family event. ( if you were watching my Inststories last night you know there is a whole fun car area for the kids)
