Being a woman is not always the easiest task in the world, it might be one of the best things and the
“funnest” thing but it is not always easy ( worthwhile yes, easy no). By now you know I am willing to tackle the not so glamorous topics, look I have even discussed pee several times right but today I am chatting one of the other taboos, there are many but only one that really counts end of sentence “period” not exclamation mark ( and how is that for a fun pun).
I grew up with three sisters ( and a mom) so you can imagine in my house with five females Dad was pretty understanding about that time of the month ( which funny thing, it is not a myth when females all live together that “time” always becomes the same time, seriously it happens, did you not notice at Boarding School or University/College or even the first shared apartment eventually it happens you are all on the same cycle, I swear that is God’s way of trying to help men through it, can you imagine five woman all on different cycles living with one male, life would not be the same……………………..)
So again, I have digressed slightly but getting back on track, now I live in a house of men, lots of men at times ( when the band arrives it is 8 sets of testosterone to my one set of estrogen) so female talk and female products may not be overly plentiful at times. Well especially in my house because I have been long past an individual requirement but that does not mean I am not fully aware when the “girlfriends” come to visit.
I found myself unprepared once, and vowed it would not happen again, plus visitors are not always comfortable asking the question especially when they may be meeting the “rents” for the first time). I have found that preparing ” Period Packs” and placing them strategically around the house has provided a very nice compromise ( girlfriends do not have to come searching me out, nor do they have to ask the guys where things might be found.
It is seriously a win-win situation and thanks to Kotek I can offer a variety of products in tasteful packaging that fits in so perfectly with my chiffon bags. Regardless of a shopping expedition, a night on the town or time in the pool/hot tub I am now ready and prepared for anything anyone may need.
( and bonus the sleek tampons allow for lots of swimming and hot tubbing) I may sound like a commercial here but seriously the smooth tip and slim size.are perfect for everything)

I love the fact they go from compact to full-sized protection in one easy move. When it clicks, it’s ready to insert. Perfect for including a few in a little pack plus hello, the packaging is so cute, simple, and colorful! OK I know, way more than you want to hear right, I will stop now
Making your own packs is simple and easy, grab a few cartons( aka packages) of Kotek products, a few luxury items ( I like make up and hair products to provide additional pampering), some chocolate and some pain relievers/water pills and a few chiffon bags. Personally, I like to throw in a few water pills because I use to have a bit of bloating and who wants that when you want to head into the pool or hot tub right?? CVS has an excellent selection to choose from ( as an FYI)
How to:
1) add a selection of pads/tampons to a chiffon bag
2) a selection of make up/nail or bath products for a feel good treat
3) add a few chocolate/candy bars ( cuz hello chocolate anyone)
4) small selection of pain pills/midol or even water pills as a just in case
5) Tie off bag with ribbon
6 Place strategically where someone will notice
and then
sit back relax and remember with Period Packs everyone will feel at home
( and I could not resist adding smarties because if you live in the US of A yours do not look like these right?? think of these as M&M’s in different colours)
Aren’t these the cutest?
Plus if you are ever looking for other cool or great ideas
or tips on giving yourself a Daily break there are sites available ( LOL)
I found all my products at CVS ( well except the smarties and Coffee Crisp) and if you are in the market for some cute products to have on hand in your own house how about a little coupon to make it even more convenient.
( I found the Kotex products here at the CVS)
and finally just to show you how easily these fit into any decor I have added a bag to the bed in the spare room, a dresser and in the guest bathroom, and all look like they belong but still give off that hey pick me vibe if you feel the need.
small tip, remember to change the chocolate out so it doesn’t go stale and then you get a sweet treat every few weeks too.
Do you have any little tips or treats you have at home when company comes to visit, or am I the only one that worries to this extent??
