Happy In The Pink Thanksgiving Eve to my Canadian Friends and Happy Saturday to everyone else. It has been far to long since I shared a table with you. Actually Canada Day and Independence Day were the last two. It is Thanksgiving and I have yet to share a Fall Table let alone a Thanksgiving table. Today I started with a dream, a Pink Table and good lord next thing I knew I was back to a Pink and Teal Pumpkin Table.

Pink Pumpkins
For my centerpiece if you recall last year I was on the hunt for Pink pumpkins but alas I was too late, Michael’s was sold out. I ended up with two teal Pumpkins and then a strand of garland I thought would be pretty. I was content with the teal and thought it was a great accent to the china but I still longed for the pink table. Fast forward to this year and as soon as the pumpkins came out, bam, pink pumpkins in the basket.
I did love the teal and pink combo last year so this year was all about tweaking. The krylon painted pumpkins from last year still worked. Crazy that I dreamed of a pink pumpkin table all year and still went with a stronger teal presence. The tablecloth I purchased last Spring just seemed the perfect base, remember my Frozen Table? Well the cloth just keeps giving back. Totally worthwhile investment that I struggled over.
Wooden Chargers and a touch of Teal
Isn’t it crazy how the start of a theme can go sideways. My pink tablescape became teal and my pink chargers made way for these awesome wood style ones. I have had these chargers for two years and they have yet to be showcased on a tablescape. 2018 seems to be my teal or aqua year and I cannot say I am unhappy with that.
So when we were in NY I of course went to Hobby Lobby and found the cutest little wooden slaps. They were a bag of 12 and I couldn’t resist. With no concept of a craft or a need, it mattered not. I was sure I would find a use and guess what I did. Knife rests and place cards. How perfect is that? They also made the perfect backdrop for my rose napkins. ( a fold you can easily copy)
Key to a Fun Table for any Season
Anyone can throw a tablecloth on a table, grab some chargers and some flowers but how do you make it pop? The key to a great table is shopping your home for what you love and use the pieces. Think outside of the box but use things that make you smile. I love wine, so wine bottle candle holders work. Water bottles, especially Rae Dunn ones make me smile. grab pumpkins and spray paint. Wooden slaps for name cards and knife rests.
Do you have your table set? Are you a traditionalist?
If you love Tablescapes as much as I do I have linked a few other Fun Ones for you.

I found the chargers at Michael’s, they have the best ones. But the link I found looks very very similar.
