Apparently its true braggarts never win, yesterday I was bragging I had not had a cold yet this year. You will never guess what the bragging gods gifted me with. Tis true a bloody cold. It always amazes me how quickly ill health can hit. One minute feeling great, then you sneeze, then sneeze again and then BHAM.
So I am struggling with the cold, sniffles and heavy head, sure hope this one does not last to long. I have had a pretty great winter health wise. Been working crazy long hours but managed to keep the germs away right up till last night. Oh well, we move forward right.
Travel and Staycations
I do live a rough life, spent the week at Casino Rama in Orillia (promise posts will be coming) Get home Thursday Night and Kent is staying at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa for a conference. Well cant leave him by himself so of course I went to visit. The Fairmont Château Laurier is a 660,000-square-foot hotel with 429 guest rooms in downtown Ottawa. It is located near the intersection of Rideau Street and Sussex Drive. The Chateau is designed in the French Gothic Châteauesque style to complement the adjacent Parliament buildings. The hotel is above the Rideau Canal locks and overlooks the Ottawa River and if you recall was also the site of the Red Bull Crashed Ice. The hotel was designated a national historic site in 1980 and I may have captured a few shoots for you ( again teaser cuz I have nothing ready yet)
Outfit
My outfit is from Friday and is a hodge podge of pieces I have owned for a bit. I found this turtleneck at Old Navy and I adore it. The material is very soft and silky and I wonder why I have not worn it this year already. I have paired it with a pair of plaid pants from Target, is it plaid or checks, never quite sure.
Well I just googled plaid vs checked. A check is a pattern of modified stripes consisting of crossed horizontal and vertical lines forming squares. … Plaid is a cloth made with a tartan pattern wrapped around the waist and cast over the shoulder and fastened at the front. Apparently, plaid is the North American word for tartan. I guess my pants are checks then.
7 Charming Sisters Discount
A wool moto jacket from Banana Republic picked up for a song I think in Tannersville. I wear this jacket a lot. I added the tassel necklace from 7 Charming Sisters. Sadly I snapped the short necklace on Saturday so my necklace is no a single tier. I also wore my new earrings but did not get the greatest picture but they are still available. Did I mention that I have an awesome code for you to use on non clearance items LABO20 which gives you 20% off.
