Did you know Precious Moment figurines have been around since 1978. Honestly it’s another blink of an eye moment in my life. It seems like just yesterday I was gifted my first one, and then it was 1986 and I was given the bride and groom as a shower gift and now its 2018. Forty Years of helping us mark the special occasion .

You Make my Heart Flip
Asked by Precious Moments to team up to celebrate forty wonderful years was an easy choice, The tough part was trying to find just one piece that spoke to me, told my story or rather our story. How does one sum up your story with a figurine you might ask? You look beyond the obvious, weddings, births, anniversaries that is the easy way out. Look for the moment, the memory, the thought that captures you.
Once I realized I was looking for an us, not a date or a time or an event my choice became easy. This is US sharing our moments, pancakes, meals together, meals shared. It is me watching him prepare our meal, it is the companionship that is shared over the meal, in the kitchen. For all our trips together and the events shared. I think You Make My Heart Flip is us.
Our Journey Together with Precious Moments
Kent is my Precious Moments and regardless of the day or the date he does make my heart flip. Having that special momento that always reminds me not just of one date or one day but all the moments that went into the feelings. So many special days tied up with Kent making breakfast, or creating a special meal, finding a special recipe.
Events spent with family and friends around the table. Meal times are not just for eating, they are for celebrating. We do not eat, we dine. We share our days, catch up with each other and bond over the table. We make memories not just meals.
Hearts and Pancakes and Moments Shared
For all those days he gave me “pancakes” and a piece of his heart. So, as I celebrate Precious Moments and their 40th anniversary I look forward to the day Kent and I celebrate ours.

Aww, this post is so sweet, Linda! “We don’t eat, we dine. We don’t make meals, we make memories.” I had a friend who collected Precious Moments. Her hubby would buy her a new one every year for their anniversary.
