We celebrated Kent’s Birthday on the 20th and because the Cannoli Pie was such a huge hit I figured a dip would be very welcome. Plus a Cannoli dip with cottage cheese is so much easier to serve at a party. It’s a decadent treat that requires little effort and creates even less mess. Waffle Bowls were also a huge hit as a Cannoli container.
Cannoli Dip with Cottage Cheese
Cannoli was something I had always heard about, yet never tried till this year, Now it appears I cannot get enough of it. One of these days I am going to actually have to make true cannoli’s. A pie is amazing, the dip is inspiring but true cannoli’s well that is a challenge in my future I think.
I am still sticking with my secret ingredient, really the Gay Lea blended cottage cheese adds the perfect flavour ( and really keeps it creamy and smooth). I decided to use two types of waffle cones for the dip, the standard ice cream cone broken into pieces and a sugar cone, thought people would enjoy having an option.
Party Desserts plus Cannoli Dip with Cottage Cheese
The party theme was Rock N Roll with a side of popcorn so using a large Popcorn container seemed the perfect serving dish. I lined the basket with a red check liner.
I went a bit over board with the desserts, heck who am I kidding I go overboard with everything. The Margarita Pie was a huge hit, the cupcakes went like hot cakes and well the dip, well another resounding success
