I found these amazing recipe in a magazine. Roll Around Shortbread made with chocolate candies.
Found this recipe in a magazine, compliments of Gaylea several years ago. I mean honestly what is not to love. Shortbread, chocolate candy and icing sugar (confectionery sugar).
The perfect cookie, not too sweet but delicious. I love the fact that this one uses regular sugar adding a slight different texture. I use the candies but I am curious about using a cherry or some other similar fruit.
a quick and easy cookie that everyone will love
- 3/4 c unsalted butter
- 1 c granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla ( Mexican)
- 2.5 c flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 c miniature candies
- 1/4 c icing sugar
Preheat ovn to 350
Using electric beater combine butter and sugar until light and fluffy
Beat in egg and vanilla
In separate bowl mix flour and baking powder.
Using a wooden spoon gradually stir flour mixture into egg mixture.add candies/fruit at the end.
