The holidays are almost upon us and thoughts turn to Entertaining. 2020 will be one for the books but it is not going to affect my holiday spirit. This household may not hold an Open house but I have found a way to send Cheesy Holiday Greetings to all my family and friends. We may not be able to be together, but zoom celebrations can still happen.
In preparation for the holidays, Saputo wants to help us spread some joy to Canadians with a new gifting idea: Saputo cheese Collection boxes. This is the kind of “cheesy” gift friends will love to receive — and surely devour!
In each carefully curated box, you’ll find a selection of our finest cheeses, beautifully arranged and grouped by theme, with flavours that are sure to spark joy among your guests.
Holiday Gift Boxes
Think about the concept for just a moment. We may not be able to enjoy wine and cheese together but we sure can enjoy them apart. Send the gift of a wine and cheese celebration and then meet together over Zoom. Savour the flavours, chat about the day and share some “cheesy” jokes. Finding new ways to celebrate together yet apart.
The beauty of this gift, no more standing around in the grocery store’s deli section, wondering which cheeses to bring as hostess gifts. Instead, purchase one of the elegantly wrapped Saputo Collection boxes, a delicious and thoughtful gift-giving idea that can be shared with guests remotely. Pick up matching sets, drop one at your friends and take the other home.
Set up the zoom meet and greet and get ready to enjoy.
Plus as a special bonus each box also comes packaged with a handy guide to help us discover and learn about these savoury cheeses while inspiring our appetites.

My Cheese Celebration with Saputo
If you know me then you know I would not recommend something without first trying it out. Well Cheese and wine was not a hardship to test run that is for sure. I opted to try the Great Canadian Cheese Platter. Honestly, I fly my colours proudly and this seemed the perfect option when trying to support local.
This fun and festive collection box comes with Alexis de Portneuf Vacherin and Sir Laurier d’Arthabaska, Woolwich Dairy Fine Herb Goat Cheese Log, Armstrong Extra Old and Marble Cheddar, and a tasting guide.
Friday night was a fine celebration of great Canadian Cheese’s, a fine selection of chacuterie meats and maybe a bottle of wine. OK no maybe there actually was wine involved. Good gravy folks I was in cheese heaven.
Also cannot let this go by,the Sir Laurier d’Arthabaska, was a new to me experience. Like a brie but not brie. This soft creamy cheese is light beige in colour. Its full-bodied flavour literally melts in your mouth. We used the brie baker and tried it warm. What a lovely cheese.
Saputo Cheese Collection Sets- A variety of cheese collection boxes for every taste, so you can savour the holidays in all simplicity. Does it get any better than that? Well maybe enjoying the Cheese platters together but sharing on zoom will be a close runner up I promise. Hopefully the platters will be around for years to come and in 2021 we will sit together sipping wine, sampling the cheese and sharing our stories of discovering the Saputo gift over Zoom.
