Somebody at Carnival knows just what you need, and it’s pretty much exactly the Serenity Oasis Adult-Only Retreat. Look, you’ll still be on the same ship as the kids, the hoopla, and all the Carnival-style excitement… but you could easily forget, because when you’re at Serenity you could not be further from it all.
The world you’ll find yourself in is one of complete peace, sea breezes, swaying hammocks. And, of course, a nearby bar. It’s the place to get done the kind of stuff you just can’t seem to do anywhere else. Reconnect with your partner, finish that book, or do absolutely, blissfully, nothing at all. ( from Carnival)
Serenity Oasis on the Carnival Glory
Our first cruise, did not have an area like this, so big hint here, not all ships are identical people, hence why it is so important to familiarize yourself with all the amenities available on each Carnival Ship.
The Front of the Carnival Glory is partitioned off and is an Adults only area. ( and that is 21+) With colourful loungers, Hammocks and intimate sitting areas. This is a spot where you can relax by yourself, with a partner or with a fun group. Serenity Oasis is a must visit area, In the late afternoon, I would love to take my book up to this area and enjoy some relaxing quiet time.
What’s in Serenity Oasis
In addition to the great seating and lounging areas there is a Bar and two hot tubs. I am not sure how I missed getting shots of the dual hot tubs but at the front you will find a hot tub on either side of the deck ( and again only adults) On our cruise the hot tubs seemed to be party central.
I loved this space but small warning if you want to enjoy a hammock get there early. We stayed on board the ship for a bit when we docked in St Thomas so I was able to get some great shots of this area.
Serenity Area on Carnival
The secluded location of Serenity provides a quiet place of relaxation where adults can enjoy spectacular ocean views, port and starboard, from the comfort of plush chaise lounges and seating. Guests can choose to enjoy their quiet time in the sun or under a separate shaded area. Serenity offers more than just a comfy hideaway from a stressful world. Relaxing whirlpools are available for our guest’s enjoyment and a variety of music adds to the ambience of the area. Complete bar service is available at the bar as well as attentive waiters on hand to help guests with their selections of delightfully icy cocktails and fun, frozen drinks at our regular bar prices.
Did I mention that we enjoyed this area, oh yea and it may be a tad bit windy. I actually lost my hat over the side of the ship, thankfully it was the one I purchased on the Carnival in 2014 so a replacement was close by and only $10.00. Tip of the day, do you love Fedora’s? Carnival carries a great selection at very affordable prices. If an Oasis is not what you are looking for on your Cruise How about Burgers and Bars, or just some Deck exploration.
Serenity can be accessed at any time of the day or night but the hot tubs and bar service are only available from 8:00am to 10:00pm (hours vary from ship to ship, port and sea days, itinerary, etc).
