Happy Thursday or Happy A Labour of Fashion Day. Holy cow peeps it is almost December and that means almost Christmas.have you started decorating yet? I cannot believe I can confess I think I am done. Woohoo the Halls are Decked. Well all except for the outdoor lights on the trees, the snow came too soon. To celebrate I am shopping the clost and I re-discovered this awesome Tunic from Shein. Isn’t the Check collar awesome?
Life Lately and My Plans
Life is crazy, we seem to go from zero to hundred overnight. Tonight we are actually invited to three events plus offered hockey tickets. Good lord why could everything not be spread out slightly.First off,a Retirement Party and a reception for a new Mealshare Restaurant in Ottawa are on the Agenda. Followed by the coolest of news we got invited to the US Embassy and that is a pretty big deal.
Only downside to an embassy visit, no phones, camera’s or computers. I know what the heck is a blogger to do? Just sit back and enjoy the reception right? The reception is an I Love NY reception so I am looking forward to hearing more of what the state has to offer. I do have a special place in my heart for that state.
Plus did I forget to mention the boys are coming to town, probably late, late Thursday/Friday. Big show Friday night and then we are heading out with them to watch them play in London (Ontario). As i said busy, busy I am.
After the shows, Kent and I are heading to Niagara on the Lake to see the wineries at Christmas. Business Meetings in Toronto and then I am off to Saint John to see the fam. Plus a gals shopping trip to Bangor Maine with my Mom and two of the “Sista’s.”. Crazy right. I am going to be running like crazy for the next ten days. This gal is prepped and ready and all my posts are prescheduled, holy moly I know. Please keep watching my stories for all the fun and I will share when I get back on the 10th.
Lightroom and Camera Edits
With all the craziness upon me, I opted to take a vacation day on Wednesday to prep. As per-norm for this gal, I got waylaid and took a Lightroom course instead. If you recall several months ago I opted into the Click Start Clubs Photography Training. I opted to test out the Photoshop, which FYI I loved. Alas, I never took the lightroom and regretted that.( no affiliate I just really believe in the courses they offer)
Randa and Stacie included both courses in The Ultimate Bundle this year so of course I now had the chance to test it out. However, with the busy that has been happening I just kept putting it off until today. As a result of completing the course I can now say Stacie thank you for simplifying everything. I actually started editing in lightroom and not with pre-sets or on my phone.
Don’t judge folks, these pics were not edited with anything other than a Photoshop re-size.
Today’s Look from Shein
While shopping I found this Tunic on the Shein Website when it was still Sheinside. Oops that is dating my look isn’t it? I adore the checked details and the fact the collar is totally detachable. For today I added a pair of cable legwarmers from Giant Tiger and my OTK Boots from Shoe Dazzle. A pair of red check gloves added a splash of colour and a tad bit of warmth
