Welcome to 2023, good golly it seems like just yesterday we were celebrating the start of 2022. Well the hectic holidays are now behind us and it has me thinking about the winter season and maybe even some football finals. Testing out a Skillet Cheese Beer Dip that just might make an appearance on Superbowl Sunday.
Heavens, seems crazy to be talking Superbowl when the College Bowl Games are not even quite over yet. Fresh off our trip to the Military Bowl and Gator Bowl this year, I am thinking this recipe is perfect for this Mondays Final Championship game, a precurser to our Superbowl celebrations.

Football or Not?
How big is football in your home? Do you celebrate quietly with your family or is tailgating a weekly event? For me, duting the season it is a relatively quiet time but then Bowl Season happens.
What’s the big deal about Bowl Season? Well 10 years ago we started an annual tradition. We select a Bowl game as soon as the schedule is announced. Yep before even the teams are announced, we pick a game and then plan a holiday vacation. Taking in a Bowl game and then staying for that city’s New Years Eve Celebrations. This year we covered two making up for a “covid break”.
Then there is Superbowl, trying to plan a fun celebration in february filled with food, fun and the frenzy of “football”. This year I am checking out a few new recipes to try out starting with this Skilet Cheese Beer Dip. This is going to be on repeat maybe even more than my Rotel Dip, shocker right?
