Happy Friday or Thursday Evening if you are surfing tonight, and I thought I might share something a little crazy and wild for this time of year. I was fortunate enough to receive a fun package from Grace Foods that included a bottle of Jerk Marinade, BBQ Sauce and some Coconut water ( and a cute apron)and we decided to experiment a bit. Jerk dishes can evoke memories of warm Caribbean vacations. Roast Beef in the Slow Cooker or Crock Pot creates a deliciously tasty dinner.
Slow Cooker Roast
Forget Jerk Chicken let’s try a little beef. Better yet let’s use the slow cooker and go totally old school. Plus based on the slow cooker I am using it really is still old school ( I think I received this as a gift in the late 80’s but it still works great). Enough about my vintage appliances, lets talk Jerk for a second. Kent got a Roast of Beef out of the freezer and decided to “jerk” it up.
How to Cook a Roast in the Crock Pot
Place the Roast in the Slow cooker/Crock Pot
cover with the marinade,
add the lid and then simmer on low all day.

The Perfect Jerk Roast Recipe
Continuin my slow cooker trend this Jerk Roast is a tatsy alternative to pork or chicken.
- 1 roast of beef
- 1/2 bottle jerk marinade
add roast to slow cooker
cover with jerk marinade
turn on low for 6-8 hours
