Apparently it is winter time folks! Now before you say it, I do not care that I live in Canada, Winter is not supposed to happen in November. Friday was a snow day in my Target Sweater Dress. So yes I recognize snow makes pretty pictures but holy heck, too early. Snow in November potentially means five months of winter. Unacceptable if you ask me.

My Lazy Blogger Ways
Well true confession to all of you, I am a lazy blogger. Actually a horrid blogger at this particular moment. I had a three day weekend and totally planned on prepping a host of posts for the week. Then all of a sudden the tree and Christmas Decor called my name. Next thing I knew it was 10:00 on a Sunday Night and I did not even have Monday’s post ready nor my pictures edited.
Here is the big shocker, I actually posted today with only my pictures and a brief opening paragraph. Then I got up this morning and got my head on straight and sat down to edit my post. Sorry, a habit I promise I will not repeat (often).
I did however get my pictures edited quickly for the post thanks to lightroom and photoshop. Yep I said both. Photoshop I have mastered for lighting, cropping and resizing. Oh Man, thanks to Click Start Club I have that practice down. Lightroom continues to allude me at times except on my phone using presets. and that brings me to today’s post.
Lightroom Presets and my phone
So last night I downloaded all my pictures from Friday. Did a quick lighten, crop and resize to my “735” and was set for my post. Then I remembered I had purchased some new pre-sets from Helene. Well they were snow presets so seemed so perfect for my post. Just one small problem, I am better at lightroom on mobile (go figure).
I did what any brilliant blogger would do. Emailed my pictures to myself, dug out my I Phone and downloaded the pics. Then used my new Winter Pre-sets, and emailed the pics back to myself and downloaded again on my desktop. I know, brilliant or totally whacko. OK Yes I know I can add the pictures to my post directly from my phone but I did not have the wordpress app. My workaround has a few more steps but it worked.
Do you use Lightroom Pre-sets?
I am a big fan of pre-sets but I do not use them always. I find there is a fine art to adapting a pre-set for your own picture. If only my pics would end up looking as awesome as Helene’s I would be ecstatic. For now I am loving playing with the new Winter Wonderland Package she has created.
10 beautiful limited edition Lightroom presets. 5 for mobile and 5 for the desktop version of Lightroom. These also come with a 45-minute video on how to use Lightroom and edit with these presets! Apparently I need to re-watch the video and start practicing on my desktop.
With the new pre-sets geared towards Winter weather I am in heaven. As you can see by my pictures, snow is here plus sunlight is always at a minimum. Long dark days, or the high glare of sun off the snow all make for a bit of a nightmare. Editing for winter is a whole different ballgame. It’s always cloudier or snowier outside. Never knowing if we will face snow, rain or dark it is hard to capture tone. That’s why Helen’s bundle helps to ensure that you make the most of your cheery winter photos. I am a fan and I hope you are too. Plus did I mention it’s only $15.00 for all of them? How crazy is that pricing.
Now for the look of the day, this is what I wore to the Giant Tiger Grand Opening on Friday. I found this amazing Tunic Sweater at Target last year and it is perfect for all occasions. Paired with a beautiful pair of cable leggings ( from GT) and my Shoe Dazzle Boots. We are now set for winter and a day of shopping.
