This refreshing alcoholic summer drink is inherently sweet thanks to the rich combination of fresh fruits and juices. The addition of sparkling water right before serving helps balance the sweetness. Sparkling Peach Sangria, the perfect poolside cocktail.
Bonus if you want to switch out the wine for grape juice, this is totally kid friendly.
What is Sangria
Sangria comes in so many different forms. The traditional Spanish sangria features red wine. In this lighter sangria, white wine, peach liqueur, and ginger ale combine to create a subtly sparkling peach sangria. Of course, fresh ripe peach slices play the starring role here.
This sweet and summery beverage is crisp, clean, and so very easy to prepare. The perfect seasonal summer flavor, so cool and refreshing. Who needs a vacation when you can sip this poolside? Well actually we all need a vacation but this is a fun way to sparkle up your stacation.
What kind of white wine do I use in Sangria?
Sangria needs 4 main ingredients: Wine, juice or liquer, fruit, and something bubbly. Pick your favorite dry white wine. Personally I recommend, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, Moscato, or Sauvignon Blanc. An added liqueur isn’t required, but highly advised.
What do I need for Peach Sangria
Time to gather our ingredients, toughest decision is what white wine to try first lol. I went with a Sauvignon blanc to start.
Ingredients:
½ c. blueberries
c. strawberries, sliced
large orange, sliced*
medium ripe peach, sliced
bottle white wine
c. freshly squeezed orange juice
2 cinnamon sticks, optional
2 c. sparkling water or club soda

*Reserve one orange slice and cut into 4 or 6 small wedges for garnish
Time to Sparkle and make a Pitcher
Directions:
1. Add the fruit to a large pitcher and gently muddle with a large wooden spoon to release the juices.
2. Add the wine, orange juice, and cinnamon sticks. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours.
3. To serve, fill individual serving glasses with ice and add sparkling water until half full. Top off with the chilled sangria and fruit and give a quick stir to combine. Garnish each glass with an orange wedge before serving. Enjoy!
