Holy Moly, it is almost September and that means Back to School time. While that can be exciting with new classes, fun new fashion and new friends it also means lunches. On no, the tedium of back to school lunches and it hasn’t even started yet. Thought I would share a fun easy to prepare Spider Sandwich for acool lunch idea.
Back To School Lunches
School season means lunches, regardless of if you are the child or the adult. While many children are fortunate and able to go home for lunch that is not everyone. Many children need to take a lunch to school. I know the thought of lunch prep strikes fear into the hearts of many of us moms and dads.
How do I feed the a healthy lunch? Will they eat what I send? How boring are sandwiches every day? So many questions with so few answers. Each child is unique and different. Growing up regardless of what mom prepared my friends in my mind seemed to have better lunches. Trading was huge. Today so many allergies, so many restrictions but kids are still as fussy.
Thought I would create a fun sandwich for a cool surprise. You may want to save this one for Halloween but I like it anytime. Plus perfect for at home lunches for a special treat.

Ingredients are pretty straightfoard and no surprise. The jam or jelly will vary depending on your childs tast buds.
- 2 Slices Bread
- Peanut Butter
- Jelly
- 6 Pretzel Sticks
- 2 Candy Eyes
- Sprinkles ( nose)
- Round Cookie Cutter ( a large round glass will work as well)
