Another check off the bucket list, I got to see Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters live at the Ottawa Bluesfest. What a fantastic show, two and a half hours with no break. The energy level was unbelievable. Me and 30,000 of my closest friends rocking out. But I cannot tell a lie, I actually did not wear this to the Foo Fighters, I wore this look to Jethro Tull.  Oh well a few days late with the outfit but not with the news. So stick around for my festival story or scroll quickly down and let me see what you are wearing today with A Labour of Fashions Linkup

Foo Fighters at Bluesfest

What a crazy show and made all that much better with Nic and Jay. My youngest step-son and his band mate were here to experience this with us and they love the Foo. Undoubtedly one of the best if not the best rock band playing today.  Have you heard them yet? The life show is incredible and I am so glad that I will forever have this memory.  Nic and I have seen Kiss, The Stones, Project Revolution including Linkin Parc and now the Foo.  So many magical music experiences with someone who truly appreciates the artistry involved. nic and Jay at Bluesfest Honest Heart Collective

Dave Grohl and The Foo

One of the craziest moments was when Dave was introducing his back up singers and included his daughter Violet.  So wonderful that hse is able to share this type of experience with her dad. Isn’t it awesome when parents are actually able to share moments like this. Sharing their passion with a child who also has that love.

I always feel that way when I watch Kent and his boys sharing their music.  Its totally cool knowing and realizuing Dave Grohl is actually that kind of parent too.

My Festival Look

For Friday nights concerts which included Hansons, The War on Drugs and Jethro Tull I went with gingham. I thought my Target Gingham pants would be the perfect festival pant, almost as great as the stripes. The only reason the stripes win, yep POCKETS. Today I also added the Honest Heart Collective Tank my sister made me,  This is my boys band so I will always willing be a walking billboard for them.

A fedora and my treble earrings completed the look.  Plus converse, I mean did you expect any less? I added a black lightweight cardi in case it got chilly or if the bugs got bad.

You share the same musical taste as my son – and for years he played his electric guitar to this music, so I’ve grown to love it too. I love your outfit – you look really great xx Passion fruit, Paws and Peonies
