The Courtyard at Quattro Sault Ste. Marie: Dinner & Drinks

One of the unexpected highlights of our overnight stay in Sault Ste. Marie was dinner at Quattro Courtyard . Hotel restaurants sometimes have a reputation for being convenient rather than memorable, but this was one of those rare exceptions where the dining experience became a destination in itself.

A Hidden Gem for Dinner

Located inside the Quattro Hotel & Conference Centre, there is also the Quattro Vinotecca. It offers an inviting atmosphere that feels more like a standalone upscale restaurant than a hotel dining room.

The menu focuses on quality ingredients, premium steaks, fresh seafood, house-made pastas, and an impressive wine selection, creating an experience that’s equally suited for a romantic dinner, a celebration, or simply relaxing after a long day on the road.

The service is always warm and attentive without feeling rushed, allowing us to settle in and truly enjoy the evening.

Dinner at The Courtyard at Quattro

For our evening at the Quattro Hotel & Conference Centre, we decided to keep things casual and have dinner at The Courtyard rather than the main restaurant. And honestly, after a day on the road, it was exactly what we were looking for.

Even better, we happened to be there on a Saturday, when appetizers are half price — which gave us the perfect excuse to order a few different dishes and share.

We started with the Korean Chicken, with that delicious combination of sweet, savoury and just a little kick.

We also ordered the nachos topped with ground beef, piled high and perfect for sharing, along with an order of chicken wings. It turned into one of those relaxed dinners where a table full of appetizers was far more appealing than ordering traditional entrées.

And, of course, road-trip dining calls for a drink. A local draft beer was the choice on one side of the table, while I opted for a chilled glass of Pinot Grigio.

The Courtyard has a casual, comfortable feel that makes it a great spot to unwind. After spending the day travelling across Northern Ontario, we weren’t looking for anything overly formal — just good food, a cold drink and a place where we could relax for the evening.

The half-price Saturday appetizers were an added bonus and made The Courtyard a particularly good-value dining option during our stay.

Sometimes the best road-trip dinners aren’t the fancy ones. They’re the evenings when you can settle in, order a table full of shareable food, raise a glass and talk about everything you’ve already seen — and everything still waiting for you down the road.

More Than Just a Hotel Restaurant

Whether you’re staying overnight at the Quattro Hotel or simply looking for one of Sault Ste. Marie’s best dinner spots, The Courtyard deserves a place on your itinerary.

It’s proof that sometimes the best meals aren’t found by wandering downtown—they’re tucked inside a hotel where locals and travellers gather for exceptional food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere.

If your visit happens during patio season, don’t miss the courtyard. It adds an extra touch of charm to an already memorable dining experience.
