The Grinch Christmas Party
Last Updated on 2021-07-09 by Linda
Do you know what December means to me? It means an even better excuse to get together with friends and family, a time to reconnect with neighbours and a time to let those around you know how very special they are to you. I will never be a Grinch at Christmas, unless it’s for a party theme lol.
I am pretty sure you already know this about me. I will say it again, I love, I mean seriously love to entertain and lucky for me so does Kent. Any excuse to get together with people and show them how special they are. Are you an entertainer?
I look for inspiration all around not just for Themes but for gifts, crafts and decor. This year as some dear friends let us know they would not be around for the Holiday so we decided to celebrate a bit early, we still wanted to celebrate the joy of the season with them. I decided to throw a Grinch Christmas Party, I mean who doesn’t love the Who’s and I don’t mean the Guess Who’s lol, although I love them too. OK I know the Grinch didn’t at first but even he thawed out a bit.

A Grinch Christmas Party
For me the theme was an easy one, but how could I make my party a little unique. Hello it’s me. I like to be different or as some people say I like to go totally over the top. Well instead of just the decor, I figured unique food stuff would be a great start. Two things automatically came to mind, how would my RITZ Turkey fit in (the perfect Roast Beast) and OREO Truffle Grinches and the rest just fell in line.
Nutter Butter Reindeer
Small cheater here folks, although the Nutter Butter’s also came in the Snack Box, I also purchased some regular ones because they made such cute Max the Reindeer cookies, the rounds just did not look as authentic.
Sadly Nutter Butters are only available in the US, not in Canada, so if you are Canadian just head across the border and you too can have these peanut buttery delights.( UPDATE, they have crossed the border nutter butters made it to Canada)

Grinch Grapes and Other Tasty Treats
Next up were a healthy snack that looked perfect. Grinch Grapes for the win. How absolutely adorable are these. Grapes, banaba slice, a strawberry and mini marshmallow. Does it get any simplier? ( my little Grinch Grapes are an easy to do)

Grinch Christmas Decor to suit all ages
What’s a party without favours right? Everything Red and Green to set the stage as well as a few fun printables to help you out. I had a blast creating a few fun trinket boxes, signs and decorations.

and then of course the piece de resistance, Grinch oreo truffles. A tasty treat no-one will be able to say no to.

and I may have gone a little crazy with the decor and the concept of printables. As a special treat I am including a link for all the printables I created so you to can host a Whoville Christmas Party.

For the RITZ Cracker Turkey, you will need a Snack Box of RITZ Crackers, about 200 grams of pepperoni (and some cheese). The cheese is an alternative for the feathers, for great step by step tutorial on this hop over to my Thanksgiving post where I did my first flipagram tutorial.

Time to gather the ingredients needed for the tastiest truffles.
- OREO Cookies, finely crushed, divide ( I used the candy cane flavour)
- 1pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER’S white Chocolate, broken into pieces, melted oryou can use chocolate chips
- green food colouring
How to Make Grinch Oreo Truffles
So for my basic food, for the Grinch Christmas Party lets start with the OREO Truffles, these are so quick and easy to make and a fun activity with the young ones, they can help you roll the balls.
1) gather your ingredients, Snack Box of OREO Cookies, cream cheese and green chocolate ( or white chocolate with some green dye)
2) add all the cookies and the cream cheese to your food processor
3) roll into one inch balls ( once all is blended)
Hint/Hack: then place in freezer for an hour, easier to work with when dipping in the chocolate
4) in a bowl add your chocolate and place in microwave to melt
5) I use one minute increments, so my chocolate does not burn and then I add a teaspoon or slightly more of vegetable oil to keep the chocolate smooth
6) hand dip each truffle in the chocolate, let harden and voila
