Time for some more J’Adore and a BlogPodium Share

 Well hello and Happy Monday, now that’s a bit of an oxy-moron, happy and Monday linked together.. well I am a tad bit pooped but a whole lot motivated, a crazy week and whirlwind trip last week did not prevent me from taking another trip this weekend. I got up at 5:00 A.M. to fly to Toronto for Blog Podium and let me tell you totally worth it.

Now if you know me, you will understand I do not do 5:00 A.M’s, I am so not a morning person but I really wanted to attend this conference and here is my take away I WILL go again.  I had an amazing time, came up short on prizes but long on knowledge. ( Plus got to catch up with Deborah from Fabulous After 40).

Highlights: The Instagram workshop with Random Acts of Pastel, great tips for pictures but even better tons of prop ideas for the future and I do love my props.
The amazing panel on insider secrets for working with brands, loved that it included a blogger, a brand and a PR company, talk about getting views from all sides.
The Keynote with Tiffany Pratt was beyond words, what an amazing, colourful personality and one I aspire to be like.  To live life without fear and regret, to worry about what you want not what others like… can’t wait to get her book on October 11th.
The first afternoon session I was so torn, How to Monetize or learn Cricut,  well I went with the practical and discovered so many great hints for monetizing ( but I still wish the Cricut had been at a different time would love to learn how to create the beauty that is possible with this machine)
The final sessions were SEO or Vlogging but I had several Speed networking sessions set up so I missed this part.
 Now Speed Networking, the first time I tried this I bombed bt this time Blog Podium created a post full of fantastic tips that I followed.  I will let you know if I was a “good learner” after I re-connect with a few brands.

The conference was filled with amazing workshops, fantastic sponsors and a ton of fun contests, sadly I did not win the GE Slate Appliance or the Delta Faucet but I still had an amazing time.
I promise I will share more later, still trying to absorb all the wonder that was my Saturday.
