Continuing with it was my Birthday and let’s talk growing older I thought we could discuss what that could mean. Growing older can bring many benefits, and one of the most positive things to come from aging is feeling more confident and self-assured. There are some drawbacks if truth be told. Some snot so positive benefits of the aging process are the physical signs of aging. Skin, Hair, aches pains, well you get the picture.
Growing older and looking older doesn’t need to be the same thing. There are many healthy habits that can help you remain looking young for your age, and there are plenty of ways to reverse the signs of aging that are already present.
Reducing the physical side of aging should not make you immediately think of plastic surgery. It is possible to look great for your age without going under the knife. So let’s discuss some non-invasive ways that you can reverse the signs of aging:
Achieve Smoother Skin Without Surgery
No matter how well you take care of your skin and stay out of the sun, it is inevitable that you will still see signs of aging on your face, neck, chest. As skin ages, the levels of collagen in it begin to reduce. The reduction in collagen leads to changes in skin tone, texture, and tightness.
Over time, increased wrinkles start to appear, sagging can occur around the jawline, and the skin on the chest can have a crepey, crinkled appearance. These outward signs of aging can become troublesome, and you may wish to regain the smooth, taut skin you had in the past. And they are the most irritating hard to hide signs, IMO.
Many people spend significant sums of money searching for wonder products that will make their fine lines and wrinkles disappear. The results are often disappointing and can make surgery seem like the only option. However, there is an alternative and non-invasive way to achieve smoother skin. Using Ultherapy, Skin Tightening can help to enhance the collagen in the skin and reduce the signs of aging.
Improve Your Posture
Poor posture is an often overlooked sign of aging, but improving your posture can make a lot of difference and make you look instantly younger. Working on your posture reduces the stooped look that people often get as they grow older and replaces it with a more upright stance. I hate the hump I use to see between my shoulder blades. Posture helps fix that.
Working on improving your posture can help to relieve any tension that you are holding in your body. This can also help to alleviate aches and pains caused by incorrect posture. You may want to try some exercises to improve your posture and keep you looking younger.
I am a huge fan of Child pose but the high plank or side plank are also great exercise. Working on your core is a great way to improve your posture and maybe tighten a few other spots at the same time.
Treat Your Hair to a Makeover
The aging process does not just cause the skin to become drier but has the same effect on hair. You may find that as your hair becomes gray it also becomes a lot less silky than it was previously.
This is because aging can reduce the production of oils, and your hair may become more brittle as a result. Aside from coloring your hair to get rid of the grays, you may also want to work on improving the hair’s condition and texture. Using nourishing hair treatments will help to keep your hair looking glossy, healthy, and young.
Did you know that hair strands become smaller and have less pigment as we age? So the thick, coarse hair we may have had as a teenager eventually becomes thin, fine, light-colored hair. So thinning doesn’t mean loss it means different.
Three Areas to Stay Young
Truly simple isn’t it. Three simple areas to focus on. Hair. Skin and posture. The three basic areas to help the growing older process. I cannot say it enough, looking older doesn’t need to be the same thing as ageing.
