Happy Tuesday and Spring has finally arrived in Ottawa. You seriously have no idea how happy that makes me. Today is also the continuation of my Skirt Series with Deb from Fashion Fairy Dust. Today we decided to go with a Tulle Skirt because who doesn’t love tulle right?
Flashback to March when we shared our leather skirts, stay tuned there is a part three to this saga. Can you guess where we might be going next?

Tulle Skirts and a Funny Story
For part two of our skirt series we had opted for Tulle. I mean both of us have a fascination with this material. Ironically with no communication nor discussion we both opted for black. How funny is that? I mean we could have gone with any of the multiple tulle skirts we both own and somehow black was the prevailing choice.
Know what else is a crazy coincidence? I had opted to wear my tank from The Honest Heart Collective, our boys band. There was something about the heart and patter that just seemed to work. Well Deb opted for a Savage Tee. This is the cool part, the drummer of the band is Jay Savage. I mean honestly could it get more perfect?
My Look
I was having fun with the tulle this weekend. And because the weather was so great I did not even get ready to go out until it was dark, so no pretty sunshiny pictures for me. Just a warm but dark Sunday evening.
The skirt is one I love, I have worn it to work, I have worn it to dinner and to weddings and today I just wore it for fun. Paired with a fun tank and a my embroidered blazer. Originally I had planned on wearing my black converse but then I found these white boots at Marshalls so…. what;s a gal to do right?
Best thing of all we are two babes over 50 who follow our own style rules. I will wear white whenever I want, I wear distressed denim and I sure as heck will wear graphic tees and skirts wherever and whenever I can. Deb’s Tulle Skirt
How amazing does she look, a fun with ankle socks. I adore her look. I have always locved the savage shirt, in fact she wore this with our Sheldon suit which inspired this series. The fun plaid suit we both own and often seem to be on the same “wear cycle”.
Hot tip of the Day
Here is a hot tip for you, when you buy new shoes make sure you remove the tags. How attractive is the big orange sticker on the sole of my boot?
