I cannot say it enough, I love Christmas Baking.  I also love simple and easy recipes so this two ingredient Christmas Fudge meets both tests. OK truth be told I am not sure it qualified as baking as there is no oven involved.

Imagine a decadent dessert with no oven and ready in minutes. Similar to the Skor Bar Squares this is another recipe you will want to add to your recipe box.

An easy two ingredient chocolate fudge recipe- kid friendly and simple to prepare

Christmas Fudge for Fun

Is there anything more decadent than homemade fudge? It’s funny its one treat that everyone loves but so many never try.  I honestly did not try making fudge for years probably because I remembered making it as a kid before microwaves. Shocker I grew up without a microwave . Can you imagine that today?  I remember the first time we got the microwave oven, it was almost better than the VCR (yes kids I was around for that too).

Well fudge today can be simply and easily made.  It also makes the perfect gift for friends, co-workers or anyone you want to treat.

What you will need for the Fudge

Its pretty simple, are you ready?  Get pen and paper because it might be tough to remember.
  • chocolate chips
  • eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
  • optional walnuts, candy canes or candy pieces

How to Make the Fudge

  1. melt chocolate chips in microwave.  stir every 30 seconds
  2. add sweetened condensed milk to melted chocolate and stir
  3. pour quickly into pan. i line my pan with tinfoil
  4. add crushed candy canes or walnuts for added flavour.  I added candies to one side and walnuts to the other to create two varieties
  5. set aside and leave for minimum 30 minutes. Cut into squares and serve

Test Run the Fudge

Try it out and let me know what you added as a topping?  I like mine with  walnuts, candy cane or sometimes just plain. I am also thinking of trying those mint chocolate chips to have a mint chocolate fudge.  This recipe can easily be modified depending on the chips you decide to use, hmmm maybe butterscotch would be fun?

So here is a fun question by adding an optional topping am I fibbing in the title? Is this really a three ingredient fudge? Nah it’s two ingredients and then fun additions right?

Regardless two or three ingredients, a great dessert that one can make in minutes and is ready to serve before dinner is over.  Keep chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in your cupboard and you will always be ready for company.
