What a crazy ten days it has been. Thanks for being so patient and forgiving over my sporadic blogging. I was not prepared to be out of town for this long It started out very sad but the ending was great. From a funeral to a wedding does it get much weirder. Thursday we left Moose Jaw to head to Penticton. Crazy travel day and we ended up missing our connection and spending the night in Vancouver. Thought I would give you a whirlwind tour of our weekend.
Highway 97 Brwery
Friday after landing and getting settled in we went to visit a Craft Brewery. Highway 97 Brewery was a lovely start to a great weekend. We also meet Kali, the Canadian entry in the Miss Inked USA Pageant. The pageant is being held Sept 23 in Dallas and I know Kali will do amazing. Fun fact we discovered the owners are Lakehead University Graduates and were there when Kent was there.
Outfit wise I stuck to Linen pants and a cami from Old Navy. Heat wave in Penticton.
Smugglers and the Fizzery
Friday night we went to the Smugglers Smokehouse and the Fizzery ( The Peoples Crafthouse). At The People’s Craft House they are committed to quality using whole natural ingredients to bring back traditional soda making for today’s soda drinkers
Smugglers Smoke House brings traditional southern BBQ to Penticton. Serving up mouthwatering smoked meat and other classic BBQ dishes, plush milkshakes and more! We had a lovely feast plus I had a chance to wear my new dress from H & M. Thought I should embrace the cold shoulder trend.
Antique Car Show
Penticton played host to an Antique Car Show and an Elvis Convention. Every where we went and looked we found more amazing cars. I may not be mechanically inclined but I sure love old cars.
We decided to wonder around town and explore the Markets and the cars.
Saturday evening a reception at the Brides Parents ( well at their rental) so obviously another excuse to dress up. Another H&M Frock but this time little sandals.
The wedding on Sunday was actually at Lang Vineyard. Such a stunning view. It was a tad bit warm but I had my umbrella for a sun shade. I wore my Laura again, it just seemed fitting
Monday, the Thunder Bay crew all decided a winery tour was in order. Cannot wait to share the five vineyards with you over the next few days.
How stunning is that view behind me? Bench 1775 has a stunning view of the lake and was perfect for our picnic. We managed five vineyards on our afternoon tour. Kent and I had to leave and catch the red-eye home. Little tired and worn but excited to be back home. How was your weekend?
