Holy Chewbakka people did you know that finally the new Star Wars™ Movie has arrived, December 18th Hans Solo will finally be Home. I am not sure about you but I personally am pretty excited to see Harrison Ford back in the saddle, I mean spaceship.
I think I may be one of the few people in the blogosphere that actually went to the original movies in a real theatre, no netflix, no blueray, a real theater followed then by real VHS Video’s to watch over and over again
Back in the day, and I do mean way BACKKK the world was ablaze with all things Star Wars™ , and then George Lucas came out with three more ( prequels he called them and they told the story leading up to the story we loved so much) and now..
The Force Awakens is set approximately 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi,[5] where the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire have become the Resistance and the First Order, respectively, and follows new leads Finn, Rey, and Poe Dameron alongside characters returning from previous Star Wars™ films
I am so excited to see, Hans Solo and Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, to say nothing of Chewbacca.. but I am also looking forward to the new regime to see where this is going to take us.
It seemed so appropriate to dig out my Limited Edition Trilogy set and have a marathon session, so Kent and I decided the house should dig in for the weekend. Well marathons require food right so I went to Walmart where holy cereal boxes look at what I was able to find
Star Wars™ Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal , Honey Nut Cheerios® and even Star Wars™ Go-Gurt . Walmart appears to be as addicted to Star Wars™ as I am.
Breakfast is normally cereal and yogurt for me, but this was a special breakfast so I searched the internet for cool recipes, found a Cinnamon bun one I thought was pretty cool and then pulled a Linda and modified it for me.
So special cereal and special treats call for special tables right?? and I almost forgot to mention how about the awesome little Droid Viewers that come in all of the cereal packs, instant treats for the table
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cookie Buns ( Easy Hack)
Ingredients:
Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Log
Filling
1 egg white
t Tbsp water
1/4 c. sugra
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 c Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal crushed
Glaze
1 1/4 c icing sugar
2 tbsp cream
1tbsp butter (softened)
1/2 tsp vanilla
Directions
For the filling Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, and crush the cereal ( keep it crumbly, so if you use your processor, use pulse). Whisk egg white and water till frothy.
Remove log ( use half if you got the value size) from fridge and roll into a large rectangle. Brush top half with half of egg white mixture, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon mixture, then sprinkle with half of the cereal. Roll up jelly roll fashion in a tight roll place on floured plastic and return to fridge for 2 hours.
Remove log and cut into 1/4 inch slices and place on cookie sheet ( I always line the cookie sheet with parchment paper)
Bake in oven at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes.
( repeat with remaining ingredients or save those for another day if you want fresh cookie buns)
For glaze whisk all the ingredients until smooth, drizzle over cookies.
Serve
Everything is really easy to find, cereal Aisle and freezer section, all at Walmart.
