If Y’all recall Kent and I took off for a quick getaway to the Poconos the end of October. Now I know you are thinking where exactly do you stay in the Poconos right? Well Pocono Mountain Villas of course, one of the Exploria Resorts properties.
I,well, actually we are owners and normally spend time at Summer Bay in Orlando. We have vacationed in the Poconos before but not when it was an Exploria property. It was exciting to go back and check out all that has been done under the new owners.
Now if you recall last week I shared a bit of the trip and talked about the pumpkin carving. So today we jump into the actual resort and the fun we had.
Where Do you Stay in the Poconos
This Fall I decided to partner with Exploria to show you one of their new properties. Well a new to them but not new in the area spot. Pocono Mountain Villas are the perfect getaway condos for Family, friends or even just couples looking to escape.
Sure you can go stay in a cramped hotel/motel but WHY? Condo vacations are truly the way to go, or at least in my mind they are. Spacious bedrooms, full kitchens and even space for game night. Having a full vacation is also a huge cost saver, meal time on your holiday should be savoured.
Pocono Mountain Villas
Pocono Mountain Villas is a four seasons resort retreat in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania that provides a picturesque backdrop for your vacation memories. Trust me you will find a host of on-site resort activities and amenities to enjoy every time of the year. It’s the ideal resort destination to pursue your Pennsylvania happiness.
Pocono Mountain Villa Units
The options are a Studio, one bedroom or a two bedroom. OK yes if you followed my stories then you may have heard me mention we were in a three Bedroom. Remember I am an actual owner so there are a few limited threes for Owners. If you are looking to rent, which I highly encourage then there are the three options.
The Pocono vacation villas create a warm and cozy getaway for your family’s vacation. With dining conveniences and plenty of space, there is no other Pocono resort that provides so many amenities with so much to do while you’re on vacation throughout the seasons.
Full disclosure, most units have stairs leading from parking lot to walkways and stairs leading from walkways to front door. Most units are multi-level so there are stairs upstairs and downstairs
Our Unit in the Mountains
A very spacious master bedroom that included a fireplace and lounger. Snuggling by the fireplace after a day ziplining was in the cards for sure. The rooms are very warm and inviting. The master has an ensuite that includes full walk in shower and Jacuzzi tub. We also had a sauna, making me want to head back really soon.
A full dining area off the Kitchen provides seating for 10. Yes I know there are only 8 chairs showing but trust me there was another table and chairs set up in the corner. The open Living room/dining room/kitchen set up allows for meal prep and family engagement at the same time.
We used the dining room table and fully furnished kitchen daily for breakfast and dinner. Cooking during a vacation saves us money and also allows us to bond and create family memories – and that’s priceless. On Saturday and Sunday night we also got in a few games of Sequence and watched a movie.
Yes we have a Car kit packed that includes games, movies and sometimes even season decorations. Like me bringing my Rae Dunn Halloween mugs plus a few other fun decoration.
Big Tip: Try to advance meal plan at least a few meals. This allows a quick run through the grocery store before you arrive. It allows allows you to bring a few extra basics.
Packing sugar twin and tea bags is a must for me and this time e also brought coffee as we had company.
Family Fun in the Poconos
Pocono Mountain Villas by Exploria Resorts has a full calendar of activities for the entire family to enjoy. From trivia at the pool to rope courses high in the sky. Everything is just a stroll away or accessible via the shuttle buses.
We enjoyed a few hours at the pool and the fitness center but sadly didn’t have time to check out any of the organized activities. Kent and I decided we really need to come back for a full week to really savour everything there is to do.
We did manage on Saturday to hit up both Pocono TreeVentures and Blue Lightning Tubing, all minutes away from our villa. Pocono TreeVentures sits on 14 acres and has 5 courses. The safety harness and briefing were frustrating for me until we realized my clips were defective. The process is so smooth that if you have any trouble at all get new clips. Once I got the process down I had a blast.
The Blue Lightning Tubing was a huge hit for us.. A ticket is valid for 2 hours of riding and they went on the ride over and over again. I had been snow tubing but had never tried it in the Fall. This is truly an experience fun for all ages. The three of us looked like little kids racing down the hill
The Warehouse Grill and Golf
Also located on site is a full 18 hole Golf Club and the Warehouse Grill. WE got in a tad bit late on Friday so we stopped for dinner. Pizza, ribs and let’s not forget sweet potato fries with a marshmallow dipping sauce. It was the perfect end to a long travel day.
PMV is a cashless resort. You show your card and they just bill you at the end of your stay. Make it easy to not have to carry cash everywhere.
Stroudsburg
Stay tune over the next few weeks as I share our other activities. Even though our time was short we managed to hit up several wineries, distilleries and breweries. WQE aso managed to wonder around and enjoy the shops of Stroudsburg and hit up Hobby Lobby and Target but I won’t share those lol.
I will add links as the posts are ready but here is what we crammed into two very full days.
