Happy Monday and Welcome to Fall Y’All. Alright I do know that Fall is not yet upon us but there is truly a crispness to the evening air now. A sure sign that the season is coming to an end. Small signs of changing leaves, dew in the morning but thankfully no frost yet. It does however mean PUMPKIN SPICE is popping up everywhere. Today’s fun look is a Black Floral Cami, easing us into fall while still maintaining that summer spark
Fall Season and embracing Pumpkin
Let’s talk seasons shall we? Fall officially starts Sept 21 right? Yet Blog and retail Fall I swear started in July, OK I exaggerate, I think August 1st. Thanksgiving and Halloween aisles are filled in the stores and I am afraid to blink. Blink too soon and ya missed Fall but Christmas is here.
Then we have bathing suits in January and Winter Coats in August. Honestly I am thrilled I do not have young Children at home. How will you know what size snowsuit they need in November when it is August. Ever hear of a growth spurt? And then where in heck does one get seasonal winter wear in December or January.
I get wanting to be ahead of the trends but can we keep a little season in the season?
Embracing September in a Black Floral Cami
My look for today was inspired by cool mornings and warm afternoons. Plus the ever present office in the basement monster. A fun black floral cami I found at Walmart in Orlando last year. Under 7.00 and the perfect transition piece. Looks great with shorts or a skirt in the Summer or longer pants in the Fall. Honestly it would work with a suit as well.
Pairing it today with a fun pair of Black wide leg “culottes” I found at Target and fun lace up kitten heels from Shoe Dazzle.( similar) The ever present cardi is lightweight. Keeps me warm in the basement but not too hot outside. Threw on a great statement necklace I have had for a bit and I am good to go.

Linda, this outfit is so great for this time of year! I love dark floral prints and those strappy heels are really pretty! And yes shopping for children who have growth spurts all the time is quite challenging! My kids always end up in clothes that are too big because I want them to get the most wear out of their things so I am always saying, “Don’t worry. You’ll grow into it,” when they are complaining that their t shirts are dresses. Lol. Thanks for linking up! And Happy Fall!
