A little Anchors and Stripes for a Lot of Stability

I cannot believe it is already August 8th and the summer is just whipping away from us. Whipping away, hmmm that implies it was actually here for a bit. Ottawa has not had what I would call a stellar season. Today as I type this though, summer has appeared and I may be shedding a tear as I am working and Kent had an extra long, long weekend. With the onset of sunny weather it seemed only appropriate to give the nautical look a little spin, so Anchors and Stripes it is.

Outfit Blogging

By now most of you probably know my routine, I take all of my own pictures in the morning and then edit at night. I then most often create a blog post for the following day. So usually a day behind on the outfits but my posts are ready to go early ( like 12:01 so its all ready for you in the morning). That all works well unless you get distracted. Every notice in the summer it is so easy to get distracted by life?

I am not talking life distractions like events or company, I am talking mindless drivel. Possibly a cool movie comes on, or you start reading posts or maybe get caught up in a book. All of those happened yesterday. I am already on Book 5 after one week, and I wonder why I have not had blogging time. Plus we watched [amazon_textlink asin=’B0093I2SNC’ text=’Lawrence of Arabia’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’alabouroflife-20′ marketplace=’CA’ link_id=’d45678f0-7c3f-11e7-8bda-511d4597d87d’] ( the original edition) and then I redid the Photoshop Editing course from Click Start Club. Boy sounds like a lot.

Then I realized it was time for bed which actually translates into I went to go to my bed to read. Hence why I am here at this silly morning hour getting my post up.

OOTD Anchors and Stripes

Outfit of the day is an Old Navy special. I truly mean that, I realized the dress and the blazer are both Old Navy. Not new by any means, The blazer made its first appearance in June 2015 but the dress well, let’s just say when I wore it on the blog in 2015 I made reference to the fact I thought it was in the giveaway pile. It’s a few years old.
