It’s a Tuesday which normally means on day away from Hump day but this week Tuesday is the hump day. Friday is a Holiday and depending on who you are and where you live/work, maybe Monday is too. Yea for four day weekends. And know what else is a YEA, leather skirts or rather faux leather skirts. Today I am rockin a Faux leather look with a bonus. You are totally intrigued now right?
Faux Leather Collaborations
A little while ago I happened to notice that a great blogger bud was wearing the same suit, now that would not normally be unusual except it was a plaid suit that was several years old. The funny part is after years of owning it we both opted to revive the Sheldon Suit and share it on social media. I mean how often to bloggers wear the same thing at the same time? OK forget that it happens a lot I know but not usually to Debbie and I.
It got me to thinking, how many similar pieces do we actually own and as much as I know she and I would be besties if we lived closed we do have a similar yet different sense of style. Plus she is way bolder than I in a positive way. I so want her hair but I am such a coward when it comes to ” hair change”. OK now I am totally digressing from the point of my story, fashion similarities…
I contacted Debbie to see if she was interested in a little collab series. Picking a few pieces we both own and styling them together. March is Faux Leather Skirt day, and I cannot wait for April Tulle and May stripes or maybe it’s May leopard guess you will have to keep checking in to see what we do.
How we Style Leather Skirts
Debbie has totally killed the leather vibe here. This is a smokin hot look that could truly take one anywhere. Subtle enough for work, playful enough for fun and awesome enough for any event. I love the fact that she added a denim jacket, really taking the vibe to any event friendly with a touch of comfort. This is a little sneak peek because trust me you don’t want to miss her post. Not only will you get the awesome outfit deets but she will be sharing a sneak peak into her life, her experience and what’s happening now. Hop over to Fashion Fairy Dust and discover the secret to becoming a bohemian fashion queen. I think that describes her style as good as any other adjective I can think of. A bit bohemian, a bit romantic, a bit edgy and all, 100% fierce fashion.
Me, well I went a slightly more conservative direction. Bahahah that’s not normally a word I use in connection with me, but today it fits. ( Inside joke for anyone that knows my political and social leanings and the “c” word sure is a big contrast.)
OK maybe it’s not that prim and proper, I mean faux leather and argyle tights topped with the most amazing tassel top yet. This is another of my Eva Trends pieces.I am madly in love with this, the colour is perfect and my intro to Spring.
Leather Faux Outfit Deets
This is the faux leather skirt I found at Laura’s last year and it is still a hit. Went with a more office appropriate vibe… OK I cant even say that with a straight face, my office allows anything and everything so me alluding to more sedated outfit for the office is just wrong. I cannot use the c word so sedate it is. Honestly sometime I just like to switch up my look. Be ready next time this tassel look may be with something strikingly different. Don;t forget Eva Trends is offer a fun discount if you want to mimic any of my looks, maybe the Geometric or the Grey or even this one. LC15(15% off per customer)
FYI this are not spots on my shirt so apparently my lens needs a cleaning. Sorry but as always 100% unfiltered.
