yellow J Crew Pants and nine west yellow kitten heels

Happy Monday, or a happy return to the work week.  Man I am not sure where my weekend went, but all of a sudden it’s Monday and I had not even pre-prepared my post.  Guess that means It really was a break this time. Starting the new week with a splash of colour and breaking the so called age rules.  That’s right that is totally a crop top on a 50 Year old, or 50 plus actually. Are you a rule breaker or a follower?

Crop Tops and Breaking the Rules

Today apparently I am breaking all of the rules and not just the fashion ones.  Yes I am wearing a crop top and it;s lace and I don’t care.  I mean I care but only to the extent of do I feel good and do I think it looks OK. Truth be told people are far more shocked by lime green/yellow neon pants then they are the top.  Yep I am a gal of the 80’s and 90’s, I love neon.

So what other rules am I breaking, well not one you will notice if you are reading my post now.  Intrigued?  Well I posted without a full post today.  I didn’t do my proper SEO, the pictures did not have alt tags and I didn’t make sure Yoast was green.  Oh yeah and I also did not fill out my feature image not the social warfare images. And guess what the world did not end.  Now It’s a horrid thing to do if I am trying to grow my blog I know, but it was what this little head needed early this morning.

Value of SEO in your Posts

Blogging as a business has a ton of rules associated with it.  I get that honestly I do. This little space though still does belong to me and sometimes you need to decide what is actually working for you.  Today I decided that time needed was better spent on something else (temporarily of course).  I do take this space very seriously and that’s why I am back a few hours later fixing and correcting the “broken rules”

Now here is a question, from an SEO point of view does editing the post to add in the SEO features have a positive or negative impact? or even any impact?  Once a post is published do changes work to effect the rating?  All my SEO courses seem to indicate that you can create better value in a post after. Google likes edits.

Instagram apparently does not, I read that edits in your Instagram posts do not help you in the algorithms later.  So one more reason I live to blog not for social media I guess.  I kind of prefer the kinder, genler more forgiving options.

Todays Neon Look of the Day

I found these pants at J Crew (similar ones)a few years ago and fell in love.  The colour, the style, the material, it all came together like a perfect storm, in a good way. You do need to be careful when styling them because the colour can be overwhelming.  Normally I stick to white tops or black tops and let the pants shine.

The lace top was from Forever 21 (similar style) but I am also wearing another bandeau top underneath.  I am seriously not that extreme in my daring looks.  I also wear the linen Cardigan I found at Winners. A great replacement from my lace back cardi I completely wore out. ( and yes even my fitbit strap is neon)

The Paisley shoes were a Nine West find down in Orlando several years ago.  Sad fact, there was another pair in a blue paisley that i did not pick up and I am still regretting that non-purchase.

My Yosa Necklace is a fav and on repeat (often)

You’re very beautiful! That’s also my pholosophy, I am a transgender woman without HRT (man’s body), 40 years old, about 120kg, and I wear crop tops. I will wear them at any age. Only young thin women are allowed to, although all other categories (men, older and fatter women) should also. Too bad it’s not possible to attach a pic with the comment, you would have seen how I look in crop top.

    Hi Linda
Those are some great looking trousers on you. Love the bright color for summer. The crop top looks great with the style of pant. You’re so tan!
