Gentle Fawn Soft Heather Cardigan and Grey Velvet Jeans

What a crazy busy weekend, I almost have to be glad it’s Monday where routine returns to normal. OK totally kidding you, who is ever glad the weekend is over.  We did have a busy time filled with fun activities and awesome surprises. From beer events to surprise parties, knitting and cleansing and football. I mean I am exhausted just thinking about it all.

Friday and Stray Dog and Orleans Craft Beer Festival

Friday night after work we were invited to a special event announcement at Stray Dog Brewery, remember Kents a Pounder ( check out how much fun we had).  The Orleans Craft Beer Festival was announcing their dates, participants, music and food vendors. What an amazing time. The festival is in early June and we are very excited, last years festivities were amazing.

The theme this year is More Beer, More Food, More Music and More Fun.  I cannot wait to share all the amazing fun.

Saturday and a Big Surprise

Saturday I spent the day fixing the blog, what a surprise right?  Now seriously I finally got all my September and October posts back up with their pictures.  I had to reload all the pictures but time well spent I think.

In the evening we were invited to a 60th surprise Birthday for a former co-worker and good friend.  Her beau flew in her two daughters as an additional surprise so it was amazing to see her face. It was a moment to remember.  Great food and company and then when Lee gave the speech about Moniques birthday surprise we were all totally unprepared for what happened.  He proposed, what a fantastic way to celebrate turning 60 don’t you think.

Sunday Cleanse

Sunday I got super energized and cleansed my kitchen cupboards.  It is crazy how much you accumulate that you convonve yourself you need.  Five boxes ready for the donation box including appliances. I feel really good about the direction I am heading in getting rid of excess.

Then I had to do it, off to Michael’s for more wool.  Another chunky blanket.  I am loving the arm knitting.  Trying to great a video to show people how easy it is. Plus if arm knitting is not your thing you can also try the us 50 or 25 mm needles, they make a great bulky knit as well.

Outfit in Gentle Fawn and Grey Velvet

Friday I wore my Gentle Fawn cardigan that I purchased in Yellowknife.  Pairing it with a grey velvet denim and grey bootie was the perfect office casual look.  Plus can i point out the awesome hair? Yes Thursday was my hair day. My Grey Booties from Forever 21 as always were the perfect finishing piece. This is a regular pairing and appears quite often on the blog, but it works right?
