ALOL-Finding Your Blog Name

Just read a cute little post on Pearls & Pastries where she was creating a glitter banner and decided to use her initials ‘P&P’, well I just realized my blog’s initials are “ALOL” or what I like to think is always laughing out loud.  This was a completely by accident occurrence but one that so perfectly fits me.

 

So I have decided I have ceased my search for the perfect Blog name representing me because I think I have found it. A little bit of union, a little bit of life, a little bit of canadiana and a whole lot of fun.  So perfectly apt. Now if I can just get all my other social media bits to fall in line without losing what I have established then it will be perfect. ( Plus with the acronym LOL already so out there and so much available with those letters on it, well how inexpensively brilliant for me)

 

Naming Your Blog

Did you struggle with your blog name, did it come to you in a brilliant flash or did you change personas many times?? I think I approached this blog thing all backwards and started the blog without an identity. I first started to Blog in 2008 when I was launching a “lifestyle change” ergo ” diet” and created one, yep one post.

Fast forward a few years and tried it again, same sad fate, guess I am either not meant to diet or not meant to blog about it. Fast forward to August 2013 and I decided the blog would be the perfect avenue for all my outfit and shoe posts ( I mean I was using instagram but some of my friends and family were not impressed, poor souls now they have to put up with the instagram , facebook, twitter, pinterest, google and blog inundation of selfie me).

I had no idea how cool and exciting the blog world was and after a few weeks of hoping around I started following some pretty inspiring blogs. I can never stop the part of me that started on this new adventure, i.e. outfits and shoes but there is no question so many bloggers out there inspired me to be even more than that.

Honestly, I stumbled on Story of My Life and enrolled in the Blogtember and I was hooked. Fast forward to today and here I am in all my glory ( so to speak)

I love this thing we call the blog world and i love embracing so many parts of it, Fashion, Life, crafts, food, Wine, and most importantly you the bloggers and readers of all we write.
