Last week we were at a triennial Convention. That time of year where delegates gather to shape the direction of the Union, but also where we get to reconnect. Its a crazy hectic week filled with meetings all day, lots of politics but also a few fun events. There is always a Presidents Reception, a Fun Night ( Cowboy this year) and a Fancy Banquet. Many chances to connect with friends and of course dress up just a little. Tuesday at the prior to the reception I experienced a little Shoe Dazzle Dilemma, what shoes to wear?
Shoe Dazzle Dilimma
I was comfortable with the dress, I just wasn’t sure what shoes would go best, plus there is the issue of standing, walking and comfort. My snake skin gladiators and the bedazzled white straps were the options I had brought with me .Both seemed to work but I was torn, plus Kent was already downstairs so I could not get a second opinion. The struggle was real so I did what every fashion blogger probably does, or maybe we should… I proceeded to take pictures and then looked at them to help make my mind up.
Both created a cute look and I really liked both so pictures did not help. So I went to the next best elimination game. The original plan was to wear the white to the Banquet so it made sense to give them a test run right? Bet you thought I was going the other direction, wearing white Thursday so lets go snake today? Nope went with the white as a test run and then ironically switched dresses and shoes for Thursday so I didn’t need the practice.
The reception was lovely, Kent and I connected with old friends. These are my “BB’s” Best Buddies, we served together on council for many years together. Changing the world, shaping direction and hopefully leading by example. We saw the highs and lows together and were always there for each other. Friendships forged out of shared values.

I opted for my H&M Cold Shoulder Dress, I mean how can you go wrong? It has pockets. I added a white envelope clutch and off course my Shoe Dazzle White Strap heels and a Staement necklace ( C/O 7 Charming Sisters). Coincidentally Kent selected a Tommy Bahama Shirt that matched perfectly, with a pair of Old Navy Linen Pants and his Skechers (C/O)
