It has been a minute and a half since I shared a fun outfit post. Good gosh this covid has really affected everything hasn’t it. But I just ordered a new Camo Dress from Old Navy, trying to find a new style grove. Work dressing at home is not the same as heading to the office.
Struggling with style and comfort, normal or new. Finding that sweet spot that makes me feel stylish yet not overdone. Tunic dresses and leggings work but you have to balance that with not wanting to grow.
Covid Style and Style Tips
So many have moved to sweat pants or yoga pants for their daily style. For me I love comfort but that has to be offset by too much stretch. Are you feeling me? Sweat pants can encourage the expansion pack. Too easy to eat and slack off and not realize you have packed on pounds.
My trick is each week I pull on my jeans or a pair of dress pants. Let’s make sure it all still fits. If the pants feel snug it is time to monitor the diet for a bit. Catch the small gains early and it is easier to work them off. Or at least that is what I tell myself daily.
Crazy that the only weight I gained during Covid was when we went to the cottage and I didn’t track my intake. Sure taking a while to get that off but I am still trying.
What’s my Style?
I have always loved tunics and leggings, cute sweater dresses and tights plus boots. That use to be my travel style. suiting up for plane rides and car rides but trying to stay stylish. Heading to the basement, feels the same, lets get stylish but be prepared. Comfort style encourages movement.
I try to create a style that encourages a walk at lunch or hopping on the treadmill for a quick break. Style balance has me smiling because it seems to be working. The down side, my wardrobe was Office style read not comfort style. Another excuse for shopping lol.
Spotting this Camo Dress on Old Navy’s website last week was serendipitous. The perfect dress for my new comfort style.
Old Navy Camo Dress
The waist-defined dress is both slimming and versatile. Pretty much the definition of fabulous, if you ask me. S soft-brushed, medium-weight jersey, with comfortable stretch. Cinched in waist and a fun leg slit to really make the style pop.
And wait for it, yep POCKETS. the best dress made perfect. At least for this gal. I threw on a pair of olive leggings and a fun moto boot from Shoe Dazzle. Fun heart necklaces to soften the look and I was office ready.
Winter Ready
Trying to think outside the stay at home box, and prepped for a winter stroll. Loved the look of my Lizard Thicket Vest with the dress. Been a long time since this baby has come out of the closet but it sure made me happy. A fun winter vest, cool boots and a bunch of snow.
How to Style The Camo Dress
A few other ways to style this fabulous dress
- Denim Jacket and white sneakers and the perfect crossbody bag
- Moto jacket and awesome booties with a great black bag
- white cardigan, white bootie and a fun headband.
How would you style the Camo Dress?

I love Old Navy. I love the quality of their clothes I love how they always have great deals, and they always have free shipping. If you spend $50 or more it’s always free. They also email promo codes for free shipping. And their prices are so affordable. I buy all my granddaughters clothes there. I have a one year old and a nine year old. And they always look great. Love this store

Hi Linda!
I really love the camo dress on you! and the boots with it look like fun. I am a big camo fan too and just got some sandals in camo for summer. Fun to see the snow in your pics, I imagine you might be tired of it. It has been raining nearly non stop here in NC!
thanks for linking!

It is a super cute dress, Linda! I have to head to Old Navy this week to find some pants for my kid, but you know I am going to browse around for myself a bit, too! I have been seriously lacking in motivation to wear much more than leggings and a million layers of warm sweaters or hoodies. There is too much ice here for walks outside so I rarely even step outside these days. But I am looking forward to spring! Hopefully it arrives sooner than later. Thanks for linking with me!
