Let’s take a moment and talk about the power of facebook ads. Why you ask? Well it’s this super awesome skirt I am wearing. Kent and I were flying back from SeaBass’s party in September. While “enjoying our layover in Montreal, meaning while catching up on Facebook Kent say this skirt in an ad. Yes you understood correctly he saw this skirt, well actually he saw the dress and showed me the ad. Which meant I had to click over and see it and then I saw the same pattern in the skirt and then I had to own it.

Power of Facebook Ads
Am I the only one? Honestly it was not just this skirt it was also the Halloween skirt I wore last Fall. Both were from Gamiss and I fell in love. The quality is amazing and the delivery time was not as speedy as Amazon but I did have both pieces within a month.
Well this skirt had me wondering about Facebook Ads and sponsored content and how effective they are. I guess I am the perfect Target audience (no pun intended there) for bloggers and sponsored content. As long as its a cute story or illustration and you show me the positive I will probably click and often buy. I also am a sucker for Facebook Ads. In the last few months two (and the exact skirt on Amazon) [amazon_textlink asin=’B01I9KD5UO’ text=’ skirts’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’alabourofli06-20′ marketplace=’CA’ link_id=’6b631fb7-fbff-11e7-9725-87e9bba7d7db’], [amazon_textlink asin=’B01GRN1N9A’ text=’a razor’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’alabourofli06-20′ marketplace=’CA’ link_id=’4bb9598c-fbff-11e7-9c78-25602025e64a’], [amazon_textlink asin=’B06XZVWDST’ text=’a blanke’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’alabourofli06-20′ marketplace=’CA’ link_id=’2d614112-fbff-11e7-b53e-654a94e0496c’]t and even Rae Dunn. Good lord. I figure I should share all my purchases and maybe link to them for you. Why should I have all the fun right? Stay tuned for my finds
So Facebook ads also lead me to thoughts about affiliates and how they work, or rather do they work. Many a blogger claims to make many a penny but how about from the reader point of view? Helpful or irritating that is my question?
If it’s something I like I really appreciate you sharing where I can find something. An exception to that rule, if you are totally overselling and wearing a 10.00 skirt and linking to a 1000.00 skirt I will be ticked. Just be honest and tell me similar and that’s ok. Helpful hints especially on accessories and products are really appreciated by this blogger. Keep your links and ads unobtrusive and not so much in my face and I am happy
Personally, I have no issue that bloggers link to affiliates, I mean why the heck not. Wouldn’t it be nice if everytime we told a friend or a neighbour or even a stranger where we purchased something we got a little reward? I must have referred 10 people to Shoe Dazzle when I was in PA, plus three colleagues are now customers and I was too silly to give them my affiliate link DUH, I really need to get better at that.
This Blog and Affiliate LInks
This blog sometimes has affiliate links, I always disclose and I hope you are OK with that. For me I love if you like what I am wearing or doing, and why not receive compensation for it. As long as I am always honest about it and not Car Salesmenny ( sorry car folks). You can check the link or not but it sure would be appreciated. I mean if you want a skirt like mine, which you know I love by the expression on my face. Then why not link from here. Linking will maybe give me a few pennies which will in tun let me buy more which in turn gives you more stuff to look at when you come here. Win win I say.
So enough of the serious for today let’s talk music notes and skirts
Music Notes on a Skirt
The only thing that would make this skirt even better is, OK, I have to say it POCKETS. Oh yea and an elastic waist because after the holidays it may have been a little snugger then before. I kept the rest of my outfit simple. A black Henley from Old Navy, my favourite wool Moto and my Skechers wedges. Al black and white simplicity
