Holy Moly, now that is one you have heard me say often. Last night I was flying to Yellowknife via Edmonton and realized I did not have a post ready. I did get my Instagram post up and I remember thinking, well A Day Late and A Dollar Short again… seems to be my fav saying lately. mostly because I have been so off on my blog timing. Funny the old fashioned sayings that often pop into our head ( well if you are old like me anyway)
7 Favourite Sayings
What is your favourite saying that you remember from your parents or grandparents? Or maybe that you used growing up? My seven favourite sayings I have used a lot over the years
- A Day late and a Dollar short- meaning too little too late
- live and let live- meaning keep my opinion to myself
- life is what you make it
- glass half full
- Holy mackerel- well mackerel is a fish but this is just less offensive than holy s..t
- what is good for the goose is good for the gander
- C’est la Vie- that is life, meaning oh well, shake it off (at least to me
OK totally will confess I wanted to give you ten quotes but I am bone tired and my mind is mush. This gal cannot even think of three more sayings. Ironically if I searched my blog I bet I would find a dozen more. Help a gal out, what did your Nana say to you growing up that has stuck?
Forever 21 Blush Outfit
Today or actually the end of August I finally wore my Blush skirt and vest from Forever 21. An outfit that I totally adore but have not worn once this summer. Not sure why and also totally not sure why I waited till I was freezing in Yellowknife to share this. That totally is a Holy Mackerel moment.
I have often Fallicized this look with tights and long sleeves but I wanted to share one more summery look. The first time I wore this particular outfit in May 2015, kind of crazy isn’t it. Even crazier that I wore the same necklace and cami as I did in 2015 (but broques on the feet). Time to upgrade the wardrobe, she says jokingly
